Thank you so much to everyone that contributed prizes and donations to this raffle. We raised just under $2000 to support this group as they move forward in their work.

This raffle was organized to support Earth Collective, the Autonomous BIPOC Collective that was formed in the wake of Remedy House.

Remedy House was a free and sliding scale clinic located on unceded Tohono O’odham and Pascua Yaqui territories AKA Tucson, Arizona. The clinic provided mutual aid health resources and healing justice to marginalized people in their Hometown. The clinic was forced to close after extreme misuse of funds from the organization’s director. Through this experience the clinic members were left without housing or food security with an enormous mess to clean up, while finding enough footing to start over again with their work.

Earth Collective is an attempt to support the individual and collective healing work that was created through this time working together.

Desert Winds Arts chose to host this raffle to help this special community find ease in the transition. I am not a part of Remedy House or Earth Collective, only a witness to their potential.

Through my work with ancestral healing and magic, I hope to teach and help others reconnect with their roots and to bring real solutions to mental health issues/ drug usage in her community. We all deserve to feel safe, supported and heard!

Example:

Saul really cares about these folks, having received amazing support from them not too long ago. They like Prize 1 and Prize 4 and decide to buy 6 tickets for. When writing the note, they decided to give 4 tickets to Prize 1 and 2 tickets to Prize 4, and saying exactly that, sent the donation through Venmo. A few days later Saul realized that they actually really liked Prize 6, but since they knew they couldn’t change their original choices, Saul then made a new Venmo offering of 3 tickets for Prize 6.
