This design features blossoms of the Queen of the Night cactus, also known as Reina De la Noche, Night Blooming Cereus, and its Latin form Peniocereus greggii.

This cactus, very nondescript most of the year, will bloom once during the summer with extravagant white flowers, most plants in one region blooming on the same night. In traditional Chinese Medicine, varieties of the cactus have been used a heart tonic, able to strengthening the heart and dilate peripheral arteries.

22x22 in, 100% Cotton

These bandanas are fair trade, sewn by DouglaPrieta Works Coop, a women’s collective in Auga Prieta, Sonora. Screen printed by Cream Design & Print in Tucson, AZ.
